PERSON OF THE MONTH
Dr. Thomas G. Wright
I was born in Iowa and raised on a farm. My wife Carla was born in Washington and raised in Florida. After graduation from high school, I served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War era. After my discharge from service, I graduated college and worked in Design Engineering for over two decades. In my middle forties, I left secular work and entered ministry.

With all thanksgiving and glory to Him, God first had me ready myself for the rigors of ministry by graciously allowing me to attend the Bear Valley Bible Institute of Denver. During my time there, I was privileged to earn the Bachelor of Theology and Master of Biblical Studies degrees. Since then, I have spent nearly the past twenty-five years serving God primarily as an evangelist.

Therein, not only have I conducted infinite one-on-one and small group Bible studies, I have also authored and published eleven books and booklets on a wide variety of theological subjects. However, there came a time in my life that I wanted to continue on with my own education in the Bible by working toward some kind of an advanced degree like a Doctorate in Ministry (DMIN).

Thus, I eventually came into contact with Dr. Jim Benton (founder and president) of Theological University of America (TUA) who enrolled me into TUA’s program. Through a combination of some transfer credits from other secular and religious educational institutions, previous ministry experience, and completion of all required TUA courses, I received my DMIN degree in 2019.

In closing, I would like to thank Dr. Benton and TUA for helping me achieve this God-approved goal in my life (2 Tim. 2.15). I would also like to thank Carla for her continued encouragement and support of me achieving my goals. The same goes for both of my sons and their families.
