Dr. Dave Laton has more than 32 years experience as a leader in developing and education and other ministries for several congregations of the Lord's church. His education and training as a curriculum expert and his creative application of these concepts have been instrumental in enhancing individual spiritual growth and congregational success.
Dr. Laton has served for many years as deacon for adult education and congregational involvement and is currently the deacon for adult education, missions, and web ministries for the Prattville Church of Christ.
Dr. Laton is a recognized speaker for organizations seeking to develop faculty and staff. He's received recognition for his insightful approaches to developing education programs. He has had several articles published by the Gospel Advocate magazine. He is also an active teacher with the World English Institute.
In his secular efforts Dr. Laton is the Assistant Director for Career and Technical Education for the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education. He is responsible to develop and deliver education and training programs and assist with growth and development needs of individuals in the Alabama 2-year college system and to assist with workforce development for business and industry.
Dr. Laton holds degrees in Education Administration, Management, Adult Education, and Religious Education Leadership.
He is married to the former Lynne Richardson from Shreveport, La. They have 4 wonderful daughters and sons-in-law and 6 incredible granddaughters.
