I am truly humbled to have been invited to be added to the ‘person of month’ post. I appreciate all that TUA has done for me, by allowing the work I did as a preacher, my education, and continued studies to be applied to receiving the above mentioned degrees.
As a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, I claim Texas as home, where I met the love of my life, Teresa. We have been married for 42 years, and have two children and five grand-children. I have been a preacher of the gospel of Christ since 1993, when I began work with the Bluff Springs church of Christ outside of Ft. Worth, and while attending the Brown Trail School of Preaching. I have served as pulpit preacher for congregations in Iowa and Texas; and in 2006 turned my focus to planting new congregations of the Lord’s church in the Midwest, with the goal of establishing a new self-supporting congregation every 7 years. The first was in Dubuque, Iowa (2006-2013), and I am presently evangelizing in Pierre, South Dakota. I have been involved in civic work as a city councilman, the Chamber of Commerce, and ran for county Sheriff. I have also been granted the opportunity to teach the Constitution to high school students as well as adults.
During my 23 years of serving God, I have been involved in campaigns to Jamaica, gospel meetings, and lectureships. I was director of the “Holding the Traditions Lectures” in Dubuque, Iowa, have written over thirty tracts, produced a weekly radio program, and a weekly Television program “The Bible Says.” I have written weekly articles for local newspapers, held Men’s Training classes, conducted a yearly booth at the county fair, taught inmates in jail and prison, and have written a book entitled, “Jehovah’s Witnesses – ‘So-Called’- Exposing the Errors of the Watch Tower Society.”
