In 2007, he became an ordained Chaplain for the International Police and Firefighters Chaplains Association for the New York Chapter. In 2000, he earned his Associate’s Degree in Mental Health Assistant-Substance Abuse from Erie Community College (City Campus) and in 2004, he acquired his Bachelor’s Degree in Individualized Studies from Buffalo State College. He also completed credits at the Master’s Degree level for Student Personnel Administration at Buffalo State College. He is also enrolled in the Theological University of America.
In closing, Doug worked for New York State Department of Corrections from 1981 and finished his career at the Erie County Department of Detention in 2008.
