LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT CURRICULUM (Men)
Introspective Leadership and Church Growth - Six Sessions
After this session you will be able to:
1. Understand the model of effective leadership and identify your strengths and areas for growth based on Jesus’ example.
2. Evaluate life experiences and personality to better identify patterns and issues consuming energy which could be directed toward helping the church grow.
3. Assess your health and growth patterns in your life. Establish boundaries, goals, and leverage points for each key area to ensure usefulness in the church.
4 Understand the biblical model for leadership in the body of Christ and how to apply it given the trends in our culture.
5 Become a visionary leader who influences the influencers.
6. Develop a compelling vision for your church that is biblically-based, develop the strength of character that earns the right to influence others. spiritually relevant to members and the unchurched, and measurable.
Church Conflict/Change and Staff Building - Five Sessions
After this session you will be able to:
1. Understand the model of Jesus and other key biblical teaching on change and conflict.
2. Determine where your church lies on the spiritual growth cycle and what kind of leadership is required to accelerate its growth, both spiritually and numerically.
3. Understand your church leaders’ style of managing conflict and its implications for team health and church growth. Assess the success of the leaderships’ effort to change your church in biblical and positive ways.
4. Ascertain the health and strengths and weakness or your current staff team.
5. Develop strategies and actions which will significantly improve the communication, relationships, and effectiveness of your leadership team.
Small Groups and Maximizing Membership - Nine Sessions
After this session you will be able to:
1. Understand why small groups were a key to first-century growth and remain so in modern America.
2. Know how to start, develop, maintain, and revitalize a small groups ministry.
3. Understand why leadership is so critical to a successful small groups ministry and how to develop and sustain effective leaders.
4. Understand why small groups are the most effective evangelistic tool today and how to effectively focus your ministry on outreach as well as spiritual maturity for members.
5. Develop an ever-increasing stream of new volunteer leaders, thereby enabling your church to care for its owe and respond to whatever new opportunities.
6. Learn how to lead members systematically through a process and motivate them to greater levels of involvement and service.
7. Understand the importance of evangelistic outreach as a prerequisite to high levels of member motivation and involvement.
8. Learn how to successfully train and mentor members in outreach and evangelism skills.
9. Develop an integrated, dynamic and biblical educational curriculum which increases the spiritual health of members at all levels of maturity.
Bereavement/Grief and Ministerial Counseling - Six Sessions
After this session you be able to:
1. Identify Grief
2. Determine the effects of Grief
3. Assist those who are experiencing Grief
4. Understand the psychology of counseling
5. Establish a environment and culture for counseling
6. Establish and coordinate a counseling ministry
Preaching and Worshipping in Real Time - Four Sessions
After this session you will be able to:
1. Understand how to organize worship, teaching and preaching to support your church’s purpose, vision and strategies.
2. Analyze your current worship to highlight areas which can be improved to make your worship both God-centered and more effective in building spiritual maturity and reaching unbelievers.
3. Establish a system to promote spiritual, healthy change in your church’s worship life and guard against changes which are culturally driven and spiritually detrimental.
4. Learn the key to preaching and teaching an expository, biblical-based message that is relevant to both Christians and unbelievers in today’s culture.
Leadership and Stewardship - Five Sessions
After this session you will be able to:
1. Develop a system that allows deacons, volunteers, and support staff to manage administrative issues so that shepherds can concentrate on the biblical mandates for church leaders.
2. Effectively manage church affairs on any scale by identifying and recruiting people capable than yourself.
3. Develop a stewardship and budgeting strategy that promotes generous giving and supports the purpose and vision for your church.
4. Learn how to recruit and manage a core and support that will support and enhance your church growth.
5. Learn how to manage transitions so that the health of the church is enhanced rather than diminished.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT CURRICULUM (Women) - Ten Sessions
1. Spiritual Leadership theory and application
Purpose of challenge: Is to challenge each participant to gaining a clear understanding of what is Spiritual Leadership, and how it is to be applied in a church or ministry setting.
2. The Women Role in Church Leadership
Purpose of challenge: Is to challenge each participant to attain a balanced understanding of the functional role of the women in the Lord’s church.
3. Spiritual Formation
Purpose of Challenge: is to challenge each participant take an introspective examination of ones self, to establish a spiritual formation, to determine their sacred approach to God, and how they should respond to God and others.
4. Personal Challenges of Women of God
Purpose of Challenge: is to challenge each participant to discover hidden or/and establish core values. To uncover limited or unlimited and health or unhealthy boundaries.
5.Women in Outreach Leadership
Purpose of Challenge: is to challenge each participant to demonstrate their ability to reach out side of themselves to evaluate and advise in difficult situations. To reach out by crossing sensitive lines in order to win a person to Christ.
6. Women and the Churches Education System
Purpose of Challenge: the purpose of this challenge is to challenge each participant to envision and create a learning environment that will influence and benefit all ages of the congregation.
7. Congregational Conflict Resolution
Purpose of challenge: is to challenge each participant to recognize a potential conflict that threatens the peace or unity of the church, and to appropriately engage it and defuse it.
8. Mentoring other women
Purpose of Challenge: is to challenge each participate to embrace a posture that will compel them to embrace another women who may need to be motivated, developed and or encouraged to do better things to sustain themselves.
9. Working as a Team
Purpose of Challenge: is to challenge each participate to learn how to function in a team environment, even when they may not agree with the overall objectives and the anticipated results. And to cultivate a mutual respect for all team members.
10. Understanding the Scriptures
Purpose of Challenge: Each participate is to experience the academic concept of designing and implementing a ministry in a church setting.
